Trevor Ford, 5th Dan

Sensei Trevor Ford is an educator, author, illustrator, and most notably, a dedicated Martial Artist.

His journey began in 1995, and for the next six years, he honed his skills in Shotokan karate under the tutelage of Sensei Lawrence Elcock of the Milton Keynes Bushido Association.

His move to Germany in 2001 marked a pivotal turning point, where he discovered the advanced training methods that prioritized longer warm-ups and stretching, ultimately preventing injuries.

Upon returning to the UK, he sought an association that aligned with his values, leading him to join the innovative Jin Sei Kai in 2005, founded by the visionary 9th Dan Sensei Paul Perry.

Under Perry's mentorship, Trevor studied biomechanics, unlocking its potential to prevent injury and enhance overall well-being. Sadly, Perry's untimely demise in 2014 marked the end of Trevor's
association with Jin Sei Kai.

Throughout his journey, Trevor has trained in many styles, with some exceptional martial artists including Paul Perry, Barry Shearer, Ronnie Christopher, Sean Roberts, Steve Hunt and Hansi Wayne Swietoslawski. His dedication and thirst for knowledge have been unwavering, leading to his recognition as a 5th-degree black belt by Swietoslawski in 2021.

Today, Trevor continues to train and teach. He is an empathic instructor who promotes a nurturing training environment, allowing you to be the best version of yourself. He is driven by his passion for helping others develop discipline, focus, creativity and a holistic approach to well-being through martial arts.
